Yesterday, we held a very simple Carol Service at the Airport, sharing the story of Christmas through scripture and song.
The initial idea was to gather outdoors but a ‘frosty wind made moan’ and we hastily decamped into the safety of T1 Departures B…
We were joined by Sale Salvation Army band and many colleagues from across the airport.
As part of the service, those present were invited to light an (electronic) candle to remember someone, somewhere or something close to their hearts this Christmas.
Afterwards, those who gathered were treated to some mince pies and hot chocolate.
A blessed way to begin the festivities!
