Services for the community

Meet Us

Part of the Chaplaincy’s role is to develop and assist good relations between the Airport and local communities, to share in the development of relationships with people of all other faiths and ethnic groups.

We provide services and opportunities for social gatherings at regular times throughout the year, normally around a major festival such as Easter, Ramadan, or Remembrance (as in the image below).

Additionally, we connect with our community in two ways: you can visit us and find out what an airport chaplaincy does, or we can visit you and tell you!

Visit the airport chaplaincy

We are delighted to welcome bonafide community groups to the airport to experience airport chaplaincy firsthand. Contact us. (Subject to availability).

Ask us to visit you

One of the regular questions we get asked as Airport Chaplains is… “So what do you actually DO all day?” We love sharing the answer to that question with as many people as possible!

Our Chaplains regularly give talks about Airport Chaplaincy, giving an insight into our work and day to day activities.

Members of the Chaplaincy Team have recently visited a range of different groups, including:

• Probus, Rotary and Round Table Clubs
• The University of the Third Age (U3A)
• Women’s Institute
• Mother’s Union
• Aviation Societies
• Places of Worship
• Churches Together / Interfaith groups
• Schools and Colleges

There’s no set fee for this, but we do request travel expenses and, where possible, a donation to the Chaplaincy Charity.

We’ll also bring some leaflets inviting everyone to become a Friend of the Chaplaincy.

If you’d be interested in a Chaplain coming to give a talk to your group, Contact us
