What do we do?

Chaplaincy Team members are here to help, support and guide everyone associated with Manchester Airport, of any faith or no faith. This includes staff, passengers and guests, and associated airport companies and organisations.

We offer holistic (Spiritual, Pastoral, Humanitarian) Care for all colleagues across the airport’s many businesses and teams. This will be different for each individual but summed up in the words “help when you need it, support when it matters, and guidance when you seek it”. All matters are handled with professionalism and confidentiality.

We take pride in planning and leading acts of worship including the blessing of marriages, memorial services for our colleagues and the wider airport community. We understand the special needs of those travelling on pilgrimage and offer them advice and assistance.

We often work in partnership with wider organisations including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Ministry of Defence, UK Border Force, Local Authorities and Resilience Forums, and the Emergency Services. We aim to provide comprehensive support and help in every case.

We  train our colleagues on diversity issues, emergency response, and pastoral care, and last, but not least, we regularly pray for the whole airport community and the local communities around us.
